For School Programs

Thank you for your interest in Bird Conservancy of the Rockies experiential environmental education programs! Our programs connect your students to standards-based, relevant, environmental education experiences to develop lifelong health, wellness and civic minded behaviors using birds as the hook!

If you would like to book a field trip to our site please choose "Field Trip" from the drop down below and choose a date you are interested in. The available options for that date will populate. Field trips last 2.5 hours and typically start between 8:30a - 10:00a and end by 12:30p. You are welcome to stay on grounds and have lunch before you head back to school.

*Bird Banding Field Trip registration are not open, yet. Please reach out to Delanie Bruce,, to reserve your spot today!

If you would like to book a reverse field trip to your campus please choose "Reverse Field Trip" from the drop down below and choose a date you are interested in. Once you choose a date, you will have an opportunity to choose the program you would like during the registration process. Reverse field trips are conducted in one-hour sessions with a maximum of 35 students per session and three sessions per day with customized start times. It is best if we can stay in one area and not have to move to different spaces within the school. We prefer to conduct the program outside on your campus but always ask that you have a backup plan in case of extreme weather.

All programs must be booked at least two weeks in advance. Thanks to generous support from our sponsors, Nebraska Environmental Trust Foundation and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, all the Nebraska School Programs are offered at no cost!
